1. About HostVon
HostVon is a cloud hosting service of Rooky, Inc. These Terms & Conditions govern your use of our website, customer console, and hosting services. They describe the service relationship, how orders and subscriptions work, and the responsibilities associated with operating your server.
Your order summary identifies the resources, server region, and billing term you select. Review those details before completing checkout. The resources included with your selected plan define the hosting service purchased.
Third-party software, application images, and external services may carry separate terms and licence requirements. You are responsible for ensuring that your use of those products is permitted. Our Privacy Policy explains how we handle account and service information.
2. Your Account
Provide accurate account information, verify your email address, and keep your contact details current. You must have authority to place orders and administer the resources purchased through your account, including when acting for an organization.
- Protect access. Keep login credentials and server passwords secure, and grant access only to people authorized to manage your services.
- Review activity. You are responsible for actions carried out through your account, including orders, billing changes, and server management requests.
- Report concerns. Report suspected unauthorized access through your available HostVon account communications so the affected account or service can be identified.
Account verification and ownership checks are part of protecting the service. Do not attempt to access another customer’s account, billing information, or hosting resources.
3. Orders & Billing
Pricing and billing terms
Prices and charges are shown in USD before payment. Servers may be ordered for 1, 12, or 24 months, with the selected term paid upfront. Longer-term discounts and the renewal amount are shown during configuration and checkout. Review the total charge and billing period before placing your order.
Your subscription renews for the same term unless you cancel renewal before it is due. A displayed monthly equivalent for a longer term describes the effective monthly cost; the selected term is paid upfront.
Payment and provisioning
Stripe processes payments. A completed payment initiates provisioning; server creation and application installation take time and may depend on provider availability. Payment confirmation does not mean that installation has already completed.
If payment succeeds but setup fails, contact HostVon through your order or account communications and identify the affected order. Do not include full card details or account passwords in your message.
Billing questions and adjustments
Any refund or billing adjustment is assessed against the order circumstances and applicable law. Cancelling renewal does not automatically refund the current term. Mandatory consumer rights remain unaffected.
4. Server Responsibilities
A Cloud VPS gives you control over the software and content running on your server. You are responsible for its configuration and ongoing administration, including:
- Access and networking: protect credentials, manage user permissions, configure firewall rules, and secure exposed application endpoints.
- Software maintenance: apply operating system and application updates, maintain required licences, and review the configuration of software you install.
- Application setup: complete first-login configuration and supply any external service accounts or credentials required by your chosen application.
- Data recovery: arrange independent backups, keep copies outside the server, and check that the data you need can be restored.
Reinstallation erases server data. Export important content and confirm your backups before requesting a reinstall or ending service. Review our security information for more about HostVon’s protections and your responsibilities.
5. Acceptable Use
Use HostVon only for lawful activities and with the permissions required for the content and services you operate. Your use must respect the rights of others and the security and availability of shared infrastructure.
- Do not use the service for unauthorized access, credential theft, malware distribution, phishing, or attacks against other systems.
- Do not send unsolicited bulk messages or host content that infringes the rights of others.
- Do not circumvent service limits, bypass access controls, or interfere with other customers or infrastructure.
Restrictions and suspension
We may restrict or suspend services to address abuse, nonpayment, or security incidents. Notice will be provided where practical and lawful. A security incident may require prompt action to limit its impact on the platform and other customers.
6. Cancellation & Data
You can schedule cancellation in your console before the next renewal. Service continues until the end of the paid billing period unless suspended for another reason. Check the subscription status and end date when managing cancellation.
Stopping a server and ending a subscription
Stopping or powering off a server does not cancel its subscription. To prevent the next renewal, use the subscription cancellation controls. Cancelling renewal does not automatically refund time remaining in the current paid term.
Prepare your data before service ends
When service ends, the server and its data may be removed. Export the content you need and keep independent backups beforehand. Do not rely on access to a server or its files after the service end date.
Subscription cancellation is separate from a request to delete account information. The Privacy Policy explains retention of account, transaction, and other service records.
7. Availability & Limitations
Maintenance, infrastructure provider outages, network failures, and software problems can interrupt service. We do not promise uninterrupted operation or a particular outcome for an application installed on your server.
Plan for interruptions
Choose a configuration appropriate for your workload and maintain a recovery plan for important applications. Independent backups and a tested restoration process help you recover when a server, application, or network becomes unavailable.
To the extent permitted by law, we are not responsible for customer-managed software or data loss caused by missing backups, compromised customer credentials, or customer actions. Nothing in these terms excludes responsibility or rights that cannot lawfully be excluded.
8. Questions & Updates
Use your HostVon order or account communications for service and billing questions. Include the relevant order or server reference and a description of the issue so the affected service can be identified. Avoid sending passwords, private keys, or full payment card details.
We may update these terms as the service changes and will communicate material changes through the website or account communications. The date at the top of this page identifies the current version.
